1950 is the last year for differnt lengths for different number of digits 1954 had the bottom edge trimmed to the new plate size standard 1955 has the new size and late in the run switched from slots to bolt holes 1955 also used the 1956 dies (compare the "3" in the 1954 to the 1955 plate)
